Full time dive instructor for courses from Open Water to Divemaster and assisting with new instructor training. Responsibilities included planning course logistics, scheduling, safety, and overseeing multiple instructors/courses.

Developer Aug 2015 - Apr 2016

Designed and developed proof of concept app to streamline customer paperwork and instructor record keeping. Features included:

  • Offline first design with client-side caching and conflict resolving sync
  • Multi-lingual, cross platform for both iOS and Android devices

Teacher 2016 - 2018

Provided free coding classes and workshops to local kids aged 10-18 using both visual block and text-based coding tools. Mentored larger stand-alone app project designed by students to help the local community in Koh Tao, Thailand.

Non-profit startup enabling sharing positive events in local communities. In contrast to other social networks, platform was designed to have no signup or login, remain totally anonymous with a focus on user privacy. Also used as a teaching project in critical feature assessment, technology evaluation, and project planning.
